Day 6: Fully Alive, Fully His

Scripture

Matthew 16:25 – 'For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.'2 Corinthians 5:17 – 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!'

John 10:10 – 'I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.'

Matthew 11:28-30 – 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.'

Romans 12:1 – 'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.'

James 4:10 – 'Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.'

Galatians 2:20 – 'I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.'

Reflection

You’ve fought control. You’ve faced the mirror of self. You’ve surrendered reputation. You’ve let your walls fall. You’ve buried your pride. Now, standing in the ashes, you finally see it: This is where real life begins.

Jesus never asked for a makeover of your old self. He asked for a funeral—and on the other side of that grave, a resurrection. Every tear you’ve cried, every defense you dropped, every ounce of pride you’ve surrendered—it’s all been leading to this moment of rebirth.

Fully alive doesn’t mean painless. It doesn’t mean every question answered or every battle won. It means your heartbeat matches His. It means freedom—not because you’re in control, but because you’re finally not.

Today isn’t about trying harder. It’s about standing still and realizing—you’re already held, already loved, already new. The cross wasn’t partial redemption; it was complete transformation. All that’s left is to say, 'Lord, my life is no longer mine. It’s Yours.'

As we come to the close of this devotional journey, we’ve walked through the illusion of control, faced the mirror of self, surrendered reputation, torn down walls, laid pride in the dust, and stepped into full surrender. This journey has not been about behavior modification or outward appearance—it has been about death and resurrection. True surrender requires us to lose ourselves so completely that only Christ remains.

The benediction of this devotional is a call to live surrendered—not just in moments of prayer or quiet reflection, but in the fabric of daily life. Every thought, every choice, every word spoken can now flow from a heart fully yielded to God. The chains of

self have been broken. The fear of losing control has been conquered. Now, the Spirit of God moves freely, shaping you into the image of Christ.

As you leave these pages, remember this: surrender is not weakness. It is the most powerful act of worship you can offer. Your life, fully placed in the hands of the Father, is an unstoppable testimony of His grace and transforming love.

Challenge

Find a quiet place. Kneel down or lay flat before God as a physical act of surrender. Say these words out loud: 'Lord Jesus, my life is not mine. It is fully Yours. Lead me, use me, change me, for Your glory alone.'

Song

Fully Yours

Verse 1:I laid it down, my plans, my pride

Nothing left for me to hide

Through the fire, through the night

Now I’m standing in Your light

Chorus:

I am fully Yours, forever changed

No more fear, no more chains

In Your mercy, I’m made new

Every breath belongs to You

Verse 2:

The old is gone, the grave undone

By the power of Your Son

Now my soul can truly sing

You’re my Savior, You’re my King

Bridge:

In surrender, I have found

Life abundant, love profound

Prayer

Jesus, here I am—no masks, no walls, no pride, nothing left but a heart surrendered to You. I lay down my life completely, not holding back even one piece. Fill me with Your Spirit. Make me a living testimony of what You can do with a fully surrendered soul. Let my life shout Your glory louder than my words ever could. I am Yours. I am free. I am alive. Amen.

The Final Surrender

Lord Jesus, I come before You now with nothing left to hide, nothing left to cling to, nothing left to defend. Every part of me—my past, my present, my future—I place into Your hands. Teach me to walk each day in full surrender, trusting not in my strength but in Your Spirit. May my life reflect Your glory, my words speak Your truth, and my actions reveal Your love. Let this moment mark the beginning of a life fully yielded to You. Take all of me, Lord. I am Yours, now and forever. Amen.

Testimony

There was a time when I thought I had life figured out. Married young, committed to faith, working hard, raising kids—I checked the boxes. But faith that’s never tested is faith that never grows. When my world began to crumble—through loss, mistakes, and brokenness—I reached a crossroads. I could run, or I could surrender.

God met me in that place of surrender. Through His Word, His people, and moments of quiet grace, I discovered that healing doesn’t come from fixing ourselves—it comes from handing our broken pieces to the One who makes all things new. This devotional is not theory—it’s testimony. It’s the story of how God took what was shattered and began writing a song of redemption, love, and purpose. If you’ve picked up this devotional searching for hope, know this: God hasn’t wasted a single chapter of your story. Not the pain. Not the pause. Not even the detours. He is faithful to finish what He started.
