Walking By Sound

Day 15: While I Wait

Theme

Living with MS often means waiting — for test results, for treatments to work, for strength to return. Waiting can feel like wasted time, but in God’s economy, waiting is never wasted. It’s a place where trust grows, faith deepens, and His timing is perfected.

Scripture

“But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)

Devotional

Waiting is hard because it reminds us we’re not in control. In seasons of MS, you might feel like life is “on hold” while the world moves forward without you. But God never puts you on pause to forget you — He puts you in waiting to prepare you.In Scripture, waiting is active. It’s leaning into God’s promises while resisting the urge to rush ahead. Noah waited for the flood to end. Abraham waited for a promised son. Israel waited for the Messiah. And in each case, the waiting was shaping them for what came next. When fatigue keeps you on the couch or treatment schedules take over your calendar, know this: God is still working. The moment you feel stuck is the moment He’s strengthening you in ways you can’t yet see. Music Link:

Prayer

Lord, help me to see waiting as a gift, not a punishment. Teach me to trust Your timing and rest in the knowledge that You are always working for my good. Amen.
