Walking By Sound

Day 18: I'm Never Forgotten

Theme

MS can create moments of isolation when symptoms prevent you from participating in activities or when friends stop inviting you because they assume you can’t join. God promises that you are never overlooked or forgotten in His Kingdom.

Scripture

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” — Isaiah 49:16a (NIV)

Devotional

It hurts to watch life happen without you — to see photos of gatherings you couldn’t attend or to hear about events after the fact. MS can make you feel invisible, but God says you are deeply seen, known, and valued. When you can’t be where you want to be, remember: God’s presence is with you right where you are. The enemy wants to convince you that you’re forgotten, but your name is written in the very hands that were pierced for you.Sometimes, isolation can even become an invitation — a quiet space where God draws near in ways you might miss in the noise of constant activity. While community is important, your worth isn’t determined by how many invitations you receive — it’s anchored in the One who has already made room for you in His eternal family. Music Link:

I'm Never Forgotten

Lyrics

Verse 1I’ve watched the world keep spinning, while I’m standing stillMoments passing by me, like waves against the hillBut You step into my silence, You call me by my nameAnd every time You whisper, my heart’s not the sameChorusI’m never forgotten, I’m held in Your handsYou’ve carved my name in a love that standsThrough the quiet, through the rainYour presence whispers my nameI’m never forgotten, I’m held in Your handsVerse 2The door might close around me, the night might feel longBut You are in the shadows, still singing me a songYour promises remind me, I’m where I belongAnd in Your faithful mercy, I am always strongChorusI’m never forgotten, I’m held in Your handsYou’ve carved my name in a love that standsThrough the quiet, through the rainYour presence whispers my nameI’m never forgotten, I’m held in Your handsBridgeEven if the world forgets, my name is known aboveEvery beat of Heaven’s heart is filled with endless loveAnd one day I will see You, my faith will be my sightThe One who never left me, will welcome me in lightChorusI’m never forgotten, I’m held in Your handsYou’ve carved my name in a love that standsThrough the quiet, through the rainYour presence whispers my nameI’m never forgotten, I’m held in Your hands

Prayer

Father, thank You for seeing me when I feel unseen and for loving me when I feel overlooked. Help me to trust that I am always in Your heart and never outside of Your plan. Amen.
