Day 20: Beauty in the Broken

Theme

Living with MS can make you wonder why God allows certain struggles to remain. Pain often feels pointless in the moment, but in His hands, it becomes a tool for transformation — shaping our character, compassion, and testimony.

Scripture

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." — Romans 8:28 (NIV)

Devotional

There’s nothing easy about living with daily pain, fatigue, or limitations. Yet God promises that He works all things — even the things we wouldn’t choose — for good. This doesn’t mean the pain is good, but it does mean it’s not wasted.Your journey with MS gives you a voice in someone else’s valley. Your scars can be a roadmap for another soul searching for hope. Every moment you cling to faith in the middle of hardship is a testimony to God’s sustaining grace. When you can’t see the bigger picture, trust the Artist who is creating it. He is weaving beauty from the threads you’d rather leave out.

Song

Beauty in the Broken

Lyrics

(Verse 1)In the breaking, in the aching, You are working stillThrough the questions, through the waiting, I will trust Your willEvery tear becomes a river, every wound a sacred placeWhere Your mercy writes the story, where I’m met by endless grace(Chorus)You make beauty in the broken, light from every scarYou bring healing in the hurting, hope into my heartThough the night feels never-ending, I know the morning’s nearYou make beauty in the broken, and I see Your hand is here(Verse 2)In the silence, in the shadows, You are close to meEvery step through deepest valleys leads to what will beYou are shaping something greater than my eyes can understandSo I’ll rest here in the promise that I’m held within Your hand(Bridge)From the ashes, You bring glory, from the loss You bring the gainEvery trial sings the story of Your love that will remain(Chorus)You make beauty in the broken, light from every scarYou bring healing in the hurting, hope into my heartThough the night feels never-ending, I know the morning’s nearYou make beauty in the broken, and I see Your hand is here

Prayer

Father, help me to trust that even in my pain, You are shaping a purpose I can’t yet see. Use my life as a testimony of Your faithfulness, and let my story point others to You. Amen.
