Theme
MS can create “gaps” — gaps in memory, gaps in energy, gaps in what you can physically do. These spaces can feel frustrating or defeating, but God’s grace is the bridge that fills in what we cannot.
Scripture
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9a (NIV)
Devotional
We don’t like gaps. We rush to fill them with our own effort, our own strength, our own plans. But MS makes it impossible to hide every gap — and maybe that’s a good thing. When we reach the end of what we can do, we encounter the beginning of what God can do.Paul’s thorn in the flesh was a constant reminder that God’s power is best displayed in our weakness. Your gaps are not failures — they are opportunities for grace to shine brighter. Every forgotten word, every unfinished chore, every plan you had to cancel becomes a place for God’s sufficiency to meet you.Today, instead of resenting the gaps, offer them to God. Let Him be the bridge, the glue, the strength that carries you from what is to what will be.
Song
Grace Fills the Space
Lyrics
(Verse 1)There’s a space between my want and what I can doA distance I can’t cross, no matter how I moveBut I hear You whisper softly, “Child, I’ll carry youEvery gap becomes a place My mercy breaks through”(Chorus)Grace fills the space I can’t reach aloneMercy builds a bridge to bring me homeWhen my hands can’t hold, when my strength runs dryGrace fills the space, and it lifts me high(Verse 2)Some days I’m so aware of how far I fallBut You turn every weakness into a holy callNot to prove my worth, but to rest in YoursIn the gaps, You show me love that still endures(Chorus)Grace fills the space I can’t reach aloneMercy builds a bridge to bring me homeWhen my hands can’t hold, when my strength runs dryGrace fills the space, and it lifts me high(Bridge)Every missing piece, every empty placeBecomes the canvas for Your amazing graceYou’re the beginning, You’re the end,You’re the space in betweenWhere my broken meets redeemed(Chorus)Grace fills the space I can’t reach aloneMercy builds a bridge to bring me homeWhen my hands can’t hold, when my strength runs dryGrace fills the space, and it lifts me high
Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me in the gaps. Teach me to rest in Your sufficiency instead of striving to fill the spaces on my own. Your grace is enough — always. Amen.
