Day 8: Already in Tomorrow

Theme

Living with MS means living with unknowns — how quickly symptoms will progress, how treatments will work, and what tomorrow will hold. But God’s promises are certain even when our circumstances are not. Trust is built not on knowing the details, but on knowing the One who holds them.

Scripture

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

Devotional

Uncertainty can feel like a heavy shadow hanging over each day. You may wonder what your body will be able to do next year, next month, or even next week. But the truth is, no one can predict the future — we all live one day at a time. When we shift our focus from the “what if” to the “Who is,” our perspective changes. God is already in the future, and He has never failed to provide what His children need. Like manna in the wilderness, His provision comes daily, right on time, in the right amount.Instead of fearing what might happen, you can rest in what is true: God is faithful. His plans for you are good, even if the path includes twists you didn’t expect. Music Link:

Already in Tomorrow

Lyrics

(Verse 1)I’m staring at the road, and it’s winding out of sightQuestions in the shadows keep me awake at nightBut You whisper in the silence, “Child, you’re not aloneI’m walking here beside you, and I’ve already gone ahead”(Chorus)You’re already in tomorrow, holding what I can’t seeEvery fear, every sorrow, You’ve already met for meSo I’ll rest here in the knowing, my steps are in Your handsYou’re already in tomorrow, so today I’ll choose to stand(Verse 2)I’ve tried to write the story with my trembling, fragile plansBut Yours are always better, drawn by wiser handsWhen I can’t trace the picture, I’ll trust the Artist’s heartFor the ending’s full of mercy, just like the start(Chorus)You’re already in tomorrow, holding what I can’t seeEvery fear, every sorrow, You’ve already met for meSo I’ll rest here in the knowing, my steps are in Your handsYou’re already in tomorrow, so today I’ll choose to stand(Bridge)Through every midnight hour, You light the skies with graceYou’ve never left a promise, You’ve never lost a placeI’ll follow where You’re leading, come joy or come the rainTomorrow’s not uncertain — it’s covered in Your name(Chorus)You’re already in tomorrow, holding what I can’t seeEvery fear, every sorrow, You’ve already met for meSo I’ll rest here in the knowing, my steps are in Your handsYou’re already in tomorrow, so today I’ll choose to stand

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being in my future just as surely as You are in my present. When fear tries to take over, remind me that my story is safe in Your hands. Help me to trust Your timing, Your goodness, and Your plan. Amen.
